NISSAN TO INTRODUCE NEW FAMILY OF GLOBAL CARS
TOKYO (July 6, 2006) – Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., today
announced it would release a new family of global cars over the
next two years with sales of the first variant to start in China in
2006. The Livina Geniss, the name of the Chinese variant, will be
the first Nissan car ever to be released in China ahead of other
global markets.
"This new family of global cars represents a substantial
investment for Nissan," said Nissan Executive Vice President
Carlos Tavares. "We expect the Livina Geniss and the other
variants to become significant contributors to Nissans growth in
China and other key global markets," continued Tavares.
The Livina Geniss will make its world premier at the Guangzhou
International Motor Show later this month. Based on the concept
of a luxurious, yet practical vehicle, the model seats up to
seven people and accommodates a wide variety of customer needs.
The exterior features a bold, modern design and is complemented
by a highly flexible interior that provides multiple seating
arrangements and a high standard specification.

Sales of a high performance model, the Mazdaspeed Axela (known as Mazdaspeed3 in North America and Mazda3 MPS in other key regions, including Europe, Australia and New Zealand) will commence on June 22. NISSAN RELEASES NEW PRESAGE FOR JAPAN
TOKYO (May 29, 2006)The new Presage minivan goes on sale in Japan today featuring enhancements to its exterior and interior.

New Presage 250 Highway Star (2WD)
The new Presage, which is available with a 2.5- or 3.5-liter engine, features design changes to its grille, front and rear bumpers, headlamps, hood panel and front fender that give it a more sophisticated and dynamic appearance.
Changes to the interior include separate, constantly lit instrument-panel gauges, illuminated AT-shift position indicators and silver-colored paneling on the center cluster. The Presage also features a wood-grain trim on the instrument panel and an illuminated vanity mirror. The overall result is a more elegant-looking interior.

Subaru 2.5-liter Turbo Boxer Engine Wins 2006 International Engine of the Year Award
Tokyo, May 11, 2006– Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd. (FHI), a global manufacturer of transportation and aerospace-related products and the maker of Subaru automobiles, today announced that its 2.5-liter, Horizontally Opposed boxer engine with a turbo charger was voted this year’s winner in the 2- to 2.5-liter engine class of the International Engine of the Year Awards. The award ceremony took place today at the Engine Expo in Stuttgart, Germany. The award granted to the Subaru engine, with which Subaru Impreza and Forester models are equipped, marks the first time a Horizontally Opposed engine has been chosen in the prestigious annual awards.

Mazda to Sell NR-A Model Roadster in Japan

HIROSHIMA, Japan—Mazda Motor Corporation has announced that it will release the NR-A version Mazda Roadster for sale at its Mazda and Mazda Anfini dealers throughout Japan in early April 2006. The Roadster is known as the MX-5 in overseas markets.

Mazda Produces One Millionth Mazda6
- One million units achieved in four years and one month is the fastest time ever for a Mazda model -
HIROSHIMA, Japan—Mazda Motor Corporation has announced that total global production of the Mazda6 (known as Atenza in Japan) reached the one million-unit mark in late February 2006. It took four years and one month to reach this important milestone since the first Mazda6 came off the line at the Hofu No. 2 Plant in February 2002. This is the fastest time ever to reach one million units of production for a single Mazda vehicle model.
In October 2002, Mazda started U.S. production of the Mazda6 at its AutoAlliance International (AAI) facility, a joint venture plant in Michigan shared with the Ford Motor Company. Production also continues at Mazda's Hofu No. 2 Plant in western Japan. In addition, FAW Car Co. Ltd. (FCC) commenced production of the Mazda6 in Jilin Province, China, in January 2006, which further established its stature as a core model in Mazda's global production system.
